For those of you who have heard me talk about my reluctance toward algebra, I am wanting to tackle this and get it out of the way so I can move forward in my pre-req's. I see that Phoenix college has an online course this summer. Is this a bad idea for someone like me, where doing algebra is literally greek to me?
Stats is ok, nothing special one way or the other. No there is not much math involved
I thought there would be lots of math involved. I think I have been fearing this class for nothing. I feel like an air head now :chuckle. Is the online class a lot of busy work? I have enjoyed most of my online classes but only my psych classes kept me super busy.
sassie,I highly recommend that you take this class in person. During the Summer, you may be able to do it if its the only class you take. All the community colleges have free math labs with tutors to help you.
It would be the only class I will take. Unfortunately I cannot get into any tutoring labs during the days during summer because all 3 of my kids are home and I don't have babysitters.....unless there is tutoring in the evening??? Other than that I will get help from my friend who is a nurse and my neighbor who is pre-med.....
I too have big time struggles w/ math. So much so that I have gotten out wehn it was time to do it. I took MAT 82 online & got a B only b/c I waited til the last min. to do it & learn it LOL I really hate math. Me the one who tells kids "You can learn anything you want to learn" :omy: what math are you taking? I'd say take it in person for 1 on 1 help.
