Has anybody on here went through the 2 year accelerated BN program at the University of Calgary? I have heard from a couple of people that it is not the greatest,,, has anybody heard anything about it?
Funny you should say that because for the past weeks the bus drivers have been carefully keeping a log of the numbers on the bus (even though they agreed with me that they could tell management without the log!) I asked the other day what had happened to all that data & the driver quipped that they'd probably put it all straight in the garbage!!
Oh & now I've seen this so called hourly rate I absolutely will be marching myself down to the underground dungeon that is our parking office! I'll expect a back payment too!
I hope I have my PR before the negotiations become ugly - the long, drawn-out & nasty I can deal with but I want myself to be on firm ground before the ugly takes hold!

Oh come on RGN1, you can't expect your employer to know what its employees are doing! Or that the shuttles are running empty. They'd have to actually pay attention and care about things like that. Remember that the administration for your hospital is actually at 107th and 107th in Edmonton so unless they've added a crystal ball to their coffee room they can't see what's happening anywhere.
You, my dear, need to march yourself down to the human resources satelllite office and tell them to look at your parking charges. They are only supposed to charge you for hours actually worked.
The UNA demand setting meeting (oh how I hate that nomenclature... the public gloms onto that kind of language and uses it as a stick to beat us with!) is next week, the 24th to the 26th. Parking was a factor in our local discussions and there was a proposal related to it in the package we sent to the province. I'm sure it will be a bone of contention in negotiations. Those, by the way, will be long, drawn out, nasty and eventually ugly.
