Hello Everyone!!

Is there anyone out there besides me that has an application package being reviewed by the board committee this month for the Air Force Nurse Corps?

Congratulations Pike01! Do you know how many OR residency positions were open this last board?

And/or how many are still vacant?

Lastly, do you know when the residency begins?

Thanks so much!

They board more than once a year, but the recruiter said that I can only apply once per fiscal year. :(

Etamakil, worth looking into. I can't say that I'm all that familiar with HPSP.

Hi! I'm starting the process to apply to the HPSP as a Psych/Mental Health NP. The recruiter is taking a little while to get back to me, but I've sent him my initial info. Curious if anyone who has been through the process had any advice and could answer a few questions. How long did the process take? Any idea what months the boards are in? Any idea how many spots are usually available? Any other tidbits of information you don't mind sharing? TIA!!

Just coming back to say that I got selected for HPSP Nurse Midwifery this board! Looking forward to crossing paths with you all in the future!

ETamakil, Congratulations!

If anyone is interested, I've created a Facebook group for those that will be in the August COT class. When searching on fb it's under AF COT 18-06.

Great! I know there's another thread with a couple people going in August...they mentioned creating a group but I don't think they have.

I've been selected and am suppose to attend COT in August as long as my scroll goes through.

Has your scroll been approved yet?

What's a scroll?

What's a scroll?

It's something the Air Force has had to start doing for about 2 years now. Basically it's some sort of approval of your name being placed on some "scroll" in DC. Maybe ask your recruiter about it.....

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

Commissions into the military require Congressional approval.
