Did anyone else apply for the November 2016 USAF Nurse boards? I am applying as a fully qualified ER Nurse (46N3J). Today (Dec 2) was the earliest day the board may have released results, but nothing has been released as of now (5pm PST), so I'm guessing we won't hear anything until next week.
Just looking to network with other potential USAF RNs!
St.BaptistRN Congrats!!! That's awesome!!! I really hope to hear soon (hopefully a yes). As for getting ready for COT, my USAF friend wrote a really great blog about the whole process start to finish that goes into day by day detail of what happens at COT.

Check it out! I've found it really helpful. She's also a great resource with any questions; I message her frequently about AF stuff and she always gives me advice.
Just checking in with you guys to see if you have ANY word from your end. I talked to my recruiter last Friday and he said they still didn't release anything. He did say that he got the new requirement sheet and they made 3 selections for PMHNP which leaves 1 position open post board. He also assured me that the results would be posted before Christmas. Hope to hear positive news from y'all soon.
Spoke to my recruiter. I was told that "unofficial" results are obtainable from the board, but that the official result occurs when your information is loaded into their system. Until that happens, it is still possible to be "deselected" (though rare). Therefore, this recruiter doesn't go by any "unofficial" information and is waiting for the individual updates in the system.
Just to update and ask some questions in case others have more info.
1) Recruiter says we are in the "hurry up and wait" mode as far as hearing about COT date and duty station after that. Anyone have an idea on timelines for any of this to happen or have you heard dates for your COT.
2) Wife selected for Operating Room and will need to go to a Teaching Hospital for I believe 6 months, any ideas where those are?
3) Does anyone know if you are then stationed where you had the training?
4) Assuming all paperwork is in order is there any worry that a person ends up being un-selected for lack of better term? That is my worry as I have a career that I will be leaving and worried about putting in a letter of resignation to soon.
Thanks.

Hey everyone! I found an old thread on AllNurses for this same process from last year! Some helpful information is on there, and also it makes me feel better to see other nurses who were anxiously waiting results just like we are now! Also, one of the nurses in the thread is a friend of mine who helped mentor my application!
