Air Force nursing FQ FY 2018

Hey everyone. I'm applying for a critical care slot for FY 2018 and was wondering if there is anyone else going through the application process?

The last update I got this week is that there was a delay and expected release date is anywhere between 9/20 and 9/22 tentatively. Once again this the military we are talking about.

Thanks for sharing! Hopefully we'll all get some good news next week then. Probably safe to assume we're not going to COT in October, but then again who knows?

Hey all,

Received an e-mail from my recruiter this morning that said the board had made their selections and that they were currently matching assignments to those selected. The names of those selected should be released no later than Monday. Best of luck to everyone.

Hi all! I've applied to this same board as well and waiting so very anxiously! I'm having a hard time containing myself! lol I applied for an OR nurse position. I am glad I ran across this site, the only thing my recruiter told me last week (because I have been bugging him) was that results would be out the end of September, so I was thinking September 30th! AHhhh

I would bet on Monday, and not be at all surprised if that actually means Tuesday. ;) Try to stay busy so you're not just waiting anxiously. I need to do the same, haha.

All I heard today was "No word yet due to assignment back up" and that I'd be called tomorrow. Disappointing but not at all unexpected. Gotta stay patient and hopeful for tomorrow. :)

My recruiter also said that there has been a delay in matching selects with assignments. He did not give a time frame for how long the delay might take, but he said he would be in touch as soon as he received word of a new release date. I got the impression that the coming new fiscal year (Oct 1) is creating some complications with the assignment process. I would love to get the call tomorrow, but I think it's doubtful based on the update I received today.
