Anyone applied for the Air Force Nurse Boards on October 2019?

Please comment, let's create a group while we wait for the results ?

Specializes in Emergency/Trauma.

Congrats everyone! I’m a ED select. I’m hoping for an overseas assignment- Germany, England, Japan or Korea. I’ll be dual mil too. Anyone prior or reserve?

Nonselect here. Congratulations to everyone who was selected. Do you have an advice to make my packet stand out more?

They want to see leadership skills, have good recommendation letters highlighting your leadership skills. Volunteer work is a big thing as well.

Specializes in ICU.

For those of you who got selected (I’m still waiting to here anything from my recruiter) Did you get your leave date as well?

Specializes in cardiology.

Hi, no, I did not get a leave date, but my recruiter and I will discuss details about contact and orders in the coming weeks. I have prior service as enlisted and officer, so I will see how things will work for me. Hopefully, I can leave in the next three months.

Did anyone get any information regarding what specialty they were selected for and when you might hear about base selection, etc.?

@rteen Are you currently a NC officer in the reserves?

Specializes in ICU.

I finally got the results and today.. and I was selected!! Future Usaf Critical Care RN!

Specializes in cardiology.

Hi, yes, I am currently an officer in Army nurse corps, reservist.

Cool, I was just trying to figure out the timeline for an officer reservist in the exact same MOS. Did your recruiter give you an idea of when you might be leaving to your new station? Feb 3rd is the "projected" accession date for us, so hopefully right after that.

Specializes in ER nurse.

I got the results today and I am in. Super stoked!

Specializes in cardiology.

Not sure, may recruiter hasn't said anything. I have to sign my new contract with the Air Force and give to the Army and I can start outproessing. No date as of yet.

Specializes in Civilian+military ER, CVICU.

Fellow HPSP selects, any word on the next step? I was told scrolling by my recruiter who's actually pretty awesome. I'm a reserve officer and remember scrolling taking a couple of months.

Congrats to everyone that got good news, I know the dual application process was brutal! To those that didn't make it this round, keep your head up, there's always another chance!
