Air Force Nurse/Age/Demand

Hello, I'm sure this is anything but a new topic. I see where the USAF age cut off for nurses is 48. I am a 47 yo, BSN, RN, with 4 years prior active duty Army enlisted. Yes I am interested in returning as a commisioned nurse in the USAF. I have contacted a health care recruiter. My question is: Does anybody have a pulse on the current demand for active duty nurses in the USAF/ other services? I know it fluctuates. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I am 44 years old and made a packet for Navy last year. I got a waiver because I have 4 years of active time. Navy's cutoff age is 42yo.

How's your process coming along? Are you applying for Navy active duty or reserve? I just submitted my application for Air Force Reserve. Just waiting for my recruiter to tell me the next step from here.

Navy Reserves. Currently, I am in AFR as an enlisted and not able to get a conditional release from my unit. I am going into IRR and submit packet afrter this summer if they have openings for me. I do not want to give up this because I got waivers for medical and age. keep us posted what is going on.
