Air Force NTP Applicant FY17

Published

Anyone looking at applying for USAF NTP program for FY17? I am trying to get the process going, but having a hard time getting consistent comms with the recruiter in my region. I was told Nurse Corps recruiting business has been moved from the Goodyear (AZ) station to the Aurora/Denver station. Spoke once a few weeks ago with a SGT Brown in the Aurora/Denver office, but haven't been able to get a hold of him since then via phone - no one answers the phone and there is no option to leave a voicemail. I failed to get his email address the one time I talked to him, so can't contact via email. Anyone have any insight?

alexander173- My recruiter gave me the same date (5 August) Haha and I agree with the probable push back of the dates; the wheels of the government turn as efficiently as a snail on rollerblades trying to make it up hill.

maggiebadger - as I read through last years thread FY16, people were getting acceptance emails as early as 6 days later. We'll see what happens. Good luck to everyone!

11 more days...:bored:

Hello all,

I applied for the Air Force Nurse Transition Program (2017). I will find out some time around August 5th as to whether or not I was selected. I am writing this post in attempt to reach out to others who may have already completed this program. I applied for the med-surg track, but my heart is set on critical care (which is not an option). In your experience, is it possible to somehow transfer to the critical care unit after doing some time on med-surg? Any feedback is appreciated.

From what I gathered from my interview with the head nurse (Col) of Langley AFB Hospital, you will have the opportunity to specialized at your 1-2 year point.

Hi everyone! I applied for the AF NTP and residency program as well. My recruiter told me we'd hear in July, but that didn't happen... :( I'm hoping we find out soon!

I was told by my recruiter that we should know by August 5. However, the board was pushed back a bit, so I'm not sure if that will delay the release date or not. I'm excited to find out, hopefully this week or next! Good luck to you!

My recruiter just told me that maybe next week. Anyone know anything different? The suspense is killing me!

@Jazi123 - This has got to be the longest two to three months of my life. For those of you who are not already used to the military lifestyle, get ready to hurry up and wait.

I contacted my recruiter and she told me another 2 weeks. The wait is so hard!

Anyone hear anything?

Got a text from my recruiter today (gave me a freaking heart attack) telling me that he should get getting something within the next couple of weeks. Surprise, surprise... í ½í¸«
