I'm just curious if anyone else is applying for the Air Force FY 2019 boards as FQ that start Oct 8th? I am going in as clinical nurse but have ER experience.

Awesome, just found out I’m now going to COT in June so I should get to Nellis in mid August. It would be great to get an update on Nellis ICU after you get in. Interested to see how it compares to my current civilian SICU job.

RhondaGayle if you end up staying in the August COT, my husband and one of the other posters on this feed are both going then. They have gotten in on the OTS 19-07 FB page and have found several other nurses that are going at that time too (and are on that 19-07 page-that was originally created for TFOT folks-even though some are going to be part of the 19-06 COT). Only difference is that there are both 5 wk and 8 wk COT classes that start at that time and so far the nurses in that group are divided with some in the 5 and some in the 8. Congrats to you and everyone else!!
Hello Everyone,
I was going to be leaving July 30th for 5 weeks COT, but my recruiter told me this a few weeks before leave date and he and the board thought I would need more time to prepare for leaving. So now I am applying for the September 2019 board with leave date hoping to be In October 2019... This process has taken me 14 months so far, I have my BSN, RN and have been a nurse for 1 year now and will be doing critical care. Just wondering if anyone has had a long journey like mine and is anyone else applying for the September 2019 board?!
Also, Nellis AFB is 2nd on my sheet, I am wondering how the critical care acuity is there?!
