@jcborr. My dear. It's best to follow AHPRA instructions. Its there for a reason.
Hi! Appreciate your reply! :) Is it safe to resize all my docs in A4 then photocopy it on long size so that I have a space for my notarizarion in front? Or is it just A4 then let it be notarized at the back. Thank you so much!
I have no agent and Ive been processing this myself. I already spent too much on notarization and still I couldnt get it right. I read the guidelines of ahpra but nothing states where to put the notarization.
@jcborr. Hi! See. I did everything by myself and was successful. Its because I followed the instructions well. Why would you insist on what you see is correct when you are to obey simple instructions? Its the same on exams. Why would you insist A3 is the same as A4? Honestly, if I am the evaluator, seeing the size of your documents will automatically tell me you refused to follow simple instructions. With the volume of applicants, do you think I will look further into your documents? And it can reflect on you as a nurse. Would you insist in your practice that 2 ml of Morphine is the same doze of 1 ml ordered?
Remember there are many ways to evaluate a person and 1 is how we follow rules and instructions. Surely you have read your application form before proceeding for notarial service. It doesn't matter where the lawyer put his stamp as long you know what should be in there, and its clear in the instructions what they asked to see for overseas notarial services.
AHPRA is very specific in their instructions as well all other agencies. If you follow the A to Z what you've been asked to submit, you'll never go wrong.
If you read things carefully. You will understand that AHPRA also requires you to request from your school and licensing body to submit verifications of your license and qualifications directly. You are also to submit criminal checks/police clearances. If you put things together. Original documents are required to verify your application. It doesn't matter where the lawyer stamped your copy.
My advice to you. Don't intepret whats not there. Obey the instructions and you can make it sucessfully. I wish you well in your endeavors.
Thank you very much! I appreciate your reply. I have read the guidelines. I was just very confused because my friend has an agency and she was asked to resize all documents to A4 and copy it to a long paper so that the notary be in front. They emphasized that its important that the notary be in front. She already passed all her papers and I was asking for her help. I think Im going for your advice. It just makes sense. Hehe. Btw, do you have any advice what state should I send my application?
@jcborr. Hi, It does not matter which state you apply for registration. Once you have your RN registration you can always update your details with AHPRA and work in any state.
You are right. It can be confusing and daunting initially but stay patient. My BSN transcripts are in A3 and I resize it to A4. Because we cannot presume the Why of it. All my resized documents were stamped on the front and even covered some sentences with the details of the notarial person. What matter most is the notary public/lawyer meet the requirements set by AHPRA that their name, designation, date, etc are clearly indicated.
Like I said, sending the certified documents are not enough to meet AHPRA requirements. You need to dowload AHPRA template and instructions to give to your school registrar and PRC to send the original copy directly to required body for your registration.
How is your CV? AHPRA set a template too.
Be mindful that if you do things by yourself, follow the instructions in what you read. Your friend relies on her agent and with agents, you authorize them to transact on your behalf. So your friend's knowledge in the process may be limited.
Many nurses are successful without an agent. But if you can afford one. There's nothing wrong to avail their service.
Check AHPRA in how to apply and you will see that its not that hard after all.
Before I submitted my documents, I made sure I ticked all the boxes required of me in the application form (AGOS-40). If you also ensure your verifications and Fit2work international police clearances are all done and forwarded before you mail your application, you will get the outcome in a month or within the set time frame of AHPRA.
Goodluck to you. Asking questions is a good start to help you feel more confident in how you proceed forward. Stay persistent and you will get there in due time.
Hello! Thank you for helping me out this means a lot to me. You've inspired me to review the application process and I have a few questions left. Do I have to request my university to send a copy of my transcript to ahpra and certificate of good standing from prc to ahpra the same time i send my application or request them after i send my application? Yes, my cv is ready based on the ahpra's format, I have my fit2work reference number already. And I resized all my documents to A4 and notarization is on process. You're a blessing to me.
@jcborr. How to say it. AHPRA will assess your documents but if you have a complete application, its a straightforward process instead of pending to supply further docs. AHPRA do receive verifications in advance and file it, meaning you can requests your school and PRC ahead of time to supply the requested documents before you mail your application.
By the way, if you read AHPRA and dowload the template. The address to mail your docs differs for school.
Keep reading and you will be fine.
Accreditation from school, cogs from prc, ichc reference page, proof of identity, cv, academic qualifications, recency of practice, english language test, certificate of employment, cv and other supporting documents are the things I needed to complete. Thank you dear! Are you from the Philippines too?
@jcborr.
Yes, I am from the Philippines too. Most of my friends did our applications by ourselves- from AHPRA, VISA up to job applications. Its an exhilarating experience till now. More so when you started to build your networks.
There is always a place for you in the nursing arena if you are persistent and resilient.
You will be fine.
Can I send my accreditation letters (from ched and school ) in 1 DHL?
