Hello, all! So I recently graduated nursing school and the board took like 3 months to approve my application, but they said I will have to agree to probationary terms upon passing my NCLEX due to my past record of substance abuse. does anyone know what this would consist of considering I didn't get in trouble or anything I just told them about my past experience going to rehab years ago when applying to take my NCLEX.
Hello all!
so I just applied to take NCLEX, but I when I was approved they said I could take it but I have to agree to probationary terms after I pass NCLEX. So I'm not on probationary terms for alcohol, but I had to disclose about my past issues with drugs that's why they said I have to agree to restrictions and probationary terms. So even though alcohol was not my problem, I'm wondering if they will test for alcohol? Because I do have a drink or two every other week I'm just hoping the board will not hold that against me. Any insight? Please don't be rude LOL.

It seems to depend on what state you live in. Where I am, no alcohol at all.. Nit even mouthwash. I'd stop now in case they do a hair test or nail test.
