Agency nursing after discipline

Published

Hi all,

I was disciplined by the board but I have completed disciplinary action and have had an unencumbered license with no restrictions for almost a year. I am still working as a staff nurse and have been wanting to switch to agency nursing but I’m not sure if I will be asked about my disciplinary history. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I have been a nurse for 8 years with ICU and PACU experience.

I am curious about this as well, I was an experienced travel RN before I lost my mind. The thing I worry about is that my name will show up on the National Practitioners Database, and I'm not sure if there's a way to get that removed.

In the same situation and wondering will I ever be able to travel or endorse my license in another state due to the disciplinary action that has been reported on my license. Although, I completed what the board required and have an encumbered no restrictions on my license.

Hope everyone is doing well. I have been disciplined etc... I thought I would add that there is Nursys. www.nursys.com, this is a central repository that many employers use to validate licensure so your discipline will be listed there is they run a multi-state verification. Be careful not to screw up your second chance for a single opportunity.
