I haven't done Agency nursing in ages. Just thinking of trying it again. Do any of you have PERSONAL experiece with an agency you really liked? You can email me privately if you would rather not post. By all means email me privately if you have worked for an agency that you hated.

I'm curious to hear some of the responses too. I've kicked the idea around about going agency for a while.

I worked with Favorite Nurses for 4 years before going full time again. Although I loved agency work it seems as if that agency was losing clients and flexibility, we also took a huge paycut! $14.00/hr when working at Presby so many of us would not go there anymore. I also signed on with STAT but they promise shifts at hospitals then you find out they aren't available or don't have a contract with that agency. A lot of nurses I know work for Nursefinders but I don't have any experience with them. UPMC has their own agency which they staff from first but in the typical UPMC manner there are many hoops to jump through. Mercy has their own inhouse BID program, Mercy was my favorite hospital to work at as a agency nurse. Hope this helps.
