What would you like to know? I think we are dedicated nurses who like making relationships with our patients and believe in hands on good old fashioned 'care'. We like the autonomy of having to decide to call a doc and not have one breathing down your neck and we like to feel we make life worth living for those in our care.
On the other hand, we love wiping bottoms albeit big bottoms, being battered with walking sticks, having food spat at us, being gossiped about everytime we speak to a doctor (ooooh yes, don't ya luv the matchmaker patients), being overworked to the point of reaching the grave before our patients and of course being frowned upon by fellow nurses.
Maybe we LTC nurses need some psych nurses!!!
