what is this? I got this today from the recruiter.
"You did not make the 18 Nov board, but we are try to get you to the 2
Dec board. If that doesn't work we will try to get you there on the 21
January board. You need an age and age in grade waiver, so that's why I
cant say which one for sure. As soon as I get something on it, I will
make sure you know. "
this is for reserves not active, does anyone know what this means?
We as officers not only have to meet maximum total age but each commissioned rank has a max age. Depending on what grade you will be coming in as, requires a waiver if you are over the max. I was 36 when I got my commission as 2LT and required a waiver for that.
God bless the AF...this seems a bit ridiculous to me. Sorry you all have to put up with that.

Very true about the active side & you are able to start drawing your pension right away, but when you retire from the reserve's you are not truely retired until you start collecting your retirement pay which is at age 60.
