Hello,
I need advice. Is it wise, to take two pre-requisites in the same semester. The classes are Human Anatomy & Physiology II and Microbiology. I am currently attending college part time. I have four classes to satisfy by May 2010. The college, I attending, will not allow students to apply for the nursing program until ALL pre-requisites are completed.
Thanks for your comments and advice.

I did it two semesters straight. First semester I took Chem I, Anat I, and two other classes. Then the next semester I took Chem II, Anat II, Pathophysiology, and another class. It's challenging because sometimes tests seem to overlap and you'll have times that feel like "finals week". Just study early and hard.
I am taking those exact classes this summer, along with Psych 101. I don't work, but I do homeschool my two kids. :)
I have 4 additional classes to take to finish all my pre-reqs that I am going to take in the fall. I am going to try and take Patho too so I don't have to take it during my first semester in NS. Its going to be a full semester, lol.
You can do it!
Hi, I think it all depends on your work ethic. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are very determined and beleive you have a good chance of getting A's in both classes and learning everything then GO 4 IT!!!! I took A&P I & II in the same semester along with english and medical ethics. I went to two different schools it took alot of scamming til this day I don't know how I made it through with 3A's & 1B. But I would not be allowed to enter my program if I didn't so it's definitely doable.
I never took two major sciences together. Although, I know people who did. My take on it: I only have this one chance to do well. I wanted to maximize my chances of doing well and focus on one major pre-req at a time. It worked for me. You know yourself, could you handle those classes together? If you can then go for it, but if you are unsure... focus on one class at a time. good luck.
I plan on taking both of those next fall, in addition to my first semester nursing classes (fingers crossed that I get in--my interview's next week). I plan on not working or only working very part time. I think this is doable; I'll just have to budget my time and schedule my study time.

I took A&P II, Micro and English II in the same semester. I have two kids, and did not have to work while going to school.
