Hi all,

I pursued my Bsn degree and got my Rn licensure in my country with no experience, now I would like to pursue my career in U.S as I live here. Inorder to continue, I need to complete my cgfns( commission on graduates of foreign nursing schools ) exam and then need to apply for nclex through state board of nursing, if so does any hospital provides work visa once I complete my nclex? Please help! Any suggestion?

Not likely with no work experience. Especially with the amount of new grad & experienced US trained citizen & PR nurses seeking work in much if the US.

But I heard that with my rn license from my country I can apply for nclex and once I get my license here I can still work here rite?

What type of visa do you have now? I would consider consulting an immigration specialist to ensure that everything is done correctly.

Here's a government site: Visa Wizard

If you need an employer to sponsor you, it may be difficult because in most area there is an oversupply of nurses.

It's not that simple. You don't qualify for an H1B visa as a new grad. Depending on your country of birth, the backlog wait due to retrogression for an EB (employment based) visa can be 2-12 years. No employer is going to hold a job for anyone that long. Both visas require employer sponsorship and a bona fide job offer. There is no incentive for an employer to hire a new, inexperienced grad nurse with no paid work experience as a nurse when most of the US (especially popular metropolitan areas) have an abundance of US educated new & experienced nurses that are citizens/permanent residents.

No...not without a work VISA

Also unless state requires it you do not have to sit CGFNS exam just go through their report service. Will also require VSC once passed NCLEX and have a employer willing to apply for work or immigrant visa

I'm on H4 visa..do not have work visa. I need H1B nurse inorder to work here and I do not have SSN either, will any employer sponsor me or hire?

Not as an inexperienced nurse. H1B is supposed to require 5+ years of specialty work experience. Plus employer must bear all costs so even less likely.

Is there a way for me to pursue my career in U.S ? I appreciate your valid suggestion.

Not without work rights in most of the US. Especially with no experience.
