My test is also on Wednesday and My Kaplan scores are close to yours, and I'm taking QT 7 tomorrow as well.
However, I know a few of my classmates who took Kaplan and they were getting in the mid 50's and still passed with 75 questions.
I'm looking at the bright side that I have the odds on my side of passing the first time around.
Guess I am just freaking out. My hubby wants to go out on the boat tomorrow for about 8 hours. THink I should go? Or study? Hmmm don't know. I worked last night..so I am gonna study tonight about 2 hours...study Sunday 2 hours plus take the Test 7. Then Monday and Tuesday I have the whole day to focus on just my weakest areas.
I am so nervous I want to VOMIT! I really need to pass the FIRST time....I am just hung up on that 65% on Kaplan. My readiness test score was 69% (that was the beginning of June). Diagnostic was 58%..at least I went up 10% with the class. I haven't read any books. I have just been doing all the practice questions...but will review my weak points this week.
I did okay in school. Was a B student..and our school's pass rate is about 90% or greater.
I dont think you ever feel ready going to the nclex. To be honest with you, my Qbank average was 58%, got a 62% on Qtrainer 7. I took my nclex yesterday, if the pearson vue trick is true, I passed. I think the best thing to do before the test is to relax. Dont get stressed out about your scores. I got a few 46% and 44%, but I did not let that bother. I figured, it was not the real test. What I did, I reviewed content, and went back to do more questions. I reviewed all the rationales and focus on my weak areas. Remember the questions are practice and it suppose to help you prepare for the "real" test, so do not get stress over not getting that 65%. Good luck to you!!!
I got 75 questions, I think maybe two repeated questions. But I was answering every question in front of me as new. The only thing I was counting SATA, got 10, and a bunch of meds, I knew most because I studied meds by category. Just take your time when you answering the questions. Eliminate two obvious wrong and reread the stem, make sure you know the subject of the question. You will do fine as long you can control your anxiety. I think most people failed because they get too nervous and allowed the nclex to play with their mind.
OKay...I stayed up late and took my last test so that I knew how I stood with my Kaplan Scores. Goodness..that was a LONG TEST. I am tired. I scored a 61%...Which is close to what they want. I have a few more days before the test to review a few things....
Gonna go over what I missed tomorrow...to late to review tonight!
Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. I took kaplan and I think it was helpful in prioritizing but if you are weak in content, then you need to use a review book (ie saunders etc). I had maybe 3 or 4 questions on my NCLEX that were similar to Kaplan but other than that it was all new to me. I had a ton of drugs I had never heard of and no med math or lab values. Also, I had some questions about diseases and diagnostic tests that weren't really emphasized in Kaplan or in nursing school for that matter... I think we had one or two slides on them in our notes for school. Honestly, it was the worst test of my life, but I did pass and you can too. Just think about each question carefully, don't rush through. If it takes you four hours to do 75 questions it's ok!!
Studied with Saunders today...scoring about 72% on all content. Gonna take another test tonight. Kaplan I will review the last few test again. I took test 5 again (haven't taken it in weeks) and only scored a 69%. However, better than the first score. Still working hard on this. Test on Wednesday!

I have posted on other threads..and no responses yet. What do you think are my chances? My Kaplan overall average is 58% on quiz bank questions. I have only 20 questions left to take.

Should I postpone the test or take it?

I am so nervous. I did not pass HESI either. We had two test. I got 69% both times (not sure what that meant, but under 850; where the school suggested). My test is THIS WEEK...WEDNESDAY. I am so scared...
Thanks for any advice!
