Advice In CA on how fast you can get your name up on the BON website

Does anyone know how long it takes for your name to show up on the BON website after you have sent them the money for your license in CA. I am still waiting for my letter saying I passed and once I get that I am just deciding what is the quickest way to get my name up on the BON website, im debating flying up to Sacramento and walking my money in but im not sure this will speed up the process. I already have a job lined up and im not sure how much longer they are going to hold the job for me, it has been 4 weeks today since I have taken the test. I was hoping to get my results this week but the BON said they just sent out March 17th's results so that means I probably wont get my results this week. So irratated, such a long process. Well any advice on what you think I should do would help, Thanks!:icon_roll

I hear ya, I heard that you can expect to wait about 36 days, Carl says he is going up to Sacramento to see for himself the office and to yell at someone, hahaha.:o

I want go to sacramento BON office. I took my test on march 17th and still waiting for my result. and i am so upset with this CA BON. I want to know where my result is? :angryfire

So I called the BON today and they said that they were working on March 18th's results! RIDICULOUS! My friend called Monday and they said that they were working on March 17th's results, so basically it has taken them a WHOLE week to do march 17th, I took my exam on the 23rd (31 days ago) so I asked if I can expect my results next week and she said ummm hopefully, not very promising. I hate CA, what a ridiculous process. I graduated in Jan so I really won't have my license till June cause it takes 4 weeks for them to send my license after recieving my money, So 6 months after graduation I will hopefully have my license, No wonder there is a nursing shortage.

I think that it is unfair for California NCLEX-PN exam takers to have to wait 5 to 6 weeks to obtain test results from the BVNPT. I mean......come on!!! It's bad enough that in California we are unable to receive "unofficial" results from Pearson Vue within 48 hours.....but to make us wait 35 to 42 days for NCLEX results that the BVNPT received the same day of our exam is unacceptable. We ALL need to contact Teresa Bello-Jones, Executive Officer of the BVNPT, and voice our outrage with the "process". If state cut backs has created the backlog.......then at least institute the 48 hour "unofficial" results option in California. We have done our part..... fullfilled our educational requirement, paid our fees, studied our butts off for the NCLEX......just give us our results!!!!!!

So I called the BVNPT and they said that they are still working on the 18th and the reason for that is there are only 2 people who work in the dept that deals with NCLEX results and that one of those 2 people are on vacation, so there is only 1 person working on the results. I got an email back from the program mgr explaing that there is a surge of people taking the NCLEX right now and due to budget cuts they dont have the funds to hire someone to help with the large amount of people taking the exam. I am so frustrated, it has been 35 days for me, the email from the mgr said that results for the 23rd of march will be mailed out sometime this week, but if last week was any example of this week I doubt that, it took them all week to do the 17th's results and to begin on the 18th's. We will see......

For those of you waiting 4+ weeks for results....was your file complete? Or did you get your ATT right after graduation, after the list was sent to the BON?

I graduated from Hawaii, and moved to Cali the day after. I cannot test until my file is complete. Does this mean I will get my results quicker?

I don't think it will make much difference on getting your results quicker, It just means your file is complete. A lot will depend on who is reviewing your file and how quickly they process their piles. I am not sure how many they have working on the files and remember they are closed 2 days a month extra to the weekend
