Any advice, tips, things I should bring with me to work would be greatly appreciated. I start as a full time LVN in a long term care facility this Monday from 7 am to 3:30pm. I just want to know what I should expect. I know I will be caring for 30-40 residents, passing meds, gtubes, foleys but I just want to know what to expect. Would love to hear how you start your shift and any good advice or tips. I am so excited to learn and so nervous and scared at the same time. I really just want to do well and know what I should concentrate on as far as getting prepared and reading up on skills. Any advice is welcomed. Thank you!!

Your profile says you have five years of experience?
I advise that you don't post anywhere on the internet using your actual name. You might want to vent at some point ...or you might just say something that someone takes very personally.
As for the actual job, time-management is probably one of the best skills to perfect. You'll have to find a system that works for you, though. Everybody is different.
It's likely that you'll feel stressed and hurried at first, but don't rush so much that you bypass safety measures. Slow down and pay attention to what you're doing. If your meds are 20 minutes late once in a while, that's OK.
Congratulations on your new job!!
:) It's really 8 years of experience as a CNA but no experience as an LVN :) And thank you about telling me about changing my name!! Didn't realize I had my full name as my username :/
Great! Thank you so much. I know every facility is different and everyone's experience is different I just want a general idea of a "typical" day. Thank you for your response and advice! Truly appreciate it :)
