Adv. Med Surg Summer or Fall

Published

Hi guys, I'm really in a bind here and would appreciate some input. I'm going to give you as much as I can pertaining to this.

I'm wondering if I should take advanced med surg (med surg 2) during the summer with its clinical (5 weeks) followed immediately by leadership course (5 weeks) and be done with my program in August or...

Take it during the Fall with a MUCH better professor and use the summer to study & hopefully, mayybe find a better job?

The teachers teaching this subject during the summer, they suck. I know I'm responsible for my studying but there's really no telling what will happen.

On the Monday of the 5th week of Med Surg 2, I'll have the med surg HESI (ahhhh!) AND the cumulative final on that Wednesday. On the 5th week of leadership, I'll have to take my exit HESI exam & score a passing score of 850 or higher.

Background: BASICALLY, I really don't feel comfortable with anything I've learned in the past. I probably need to relearn, fundamentals and pharm. I really want to review. Ideally, I'd love to take the summer, work, read & absorb the priority & saunders book, and do HESI questions, but I don't know how it would be to find a job as a tech.

So many factors at play here.

A little insight anyone? I'll answer any questions in case I forgot anything. Thanks for your help.
