Adult NP to Family NP

Hello,

I am looking for an online program that will allow me to complete a post master's certificate in FNP. I am already an Adult NP and have been since 2005 but for career reasons it has now become critical for me to obtain my FNP. Any advice would truly be appreciated!

I found a school!! It is UMASS. They have an online post master's certificate, since I am already ANP-BC, the certificate I need is 12 credit hours plus 300 clinical hours. My only problem now is getting the 300 clinical hours in while on active duty. But atleast half my proplem is solved :). Hopefully this post will benefit others as well.

Umass is great. I did the post masters FNP program from CRNA to FNP.

That is the program I am considering. Boston right?

Yep, UMass-Boston. I enjoyed it immensely.

University of Missouri at Kansas City has an online Adult NP to FNP certificate (with very few courses). Their online Post-Master's NP certificates are listed also.

George Washington University (GWU) has an online certificate program (advanced-standing track) for NPs looking to get their FNP. Its only 3 courses.

I am wondering if people know how much clinical hours are required for a similar ANP->post-masters peds certification? It's hard to find info on this for some reason. Also would if be cost effective to try and roll a post-masters certificate and DNP at any schools? I'm skeptical of DNPs because they are flush with largely irrelevant management classes for the most part, but if I could double up it wouldn't hurt perhaps?
