I didn't know where to put this! Is it possible to become a certified nurse midwife with just an associates RN?

No its not possible. CNMs are @ minimum a Masters prepared position. You can be an L&D RN with an ADN, or a doula, which basically like a labor coach/advocate who doesnt have to be a nurse.
There are also Certified midwives (CM) which you do not have to be a nurse for, but they are only authorized to practice in about 3 states. These are people that have another healthcare professon besides nursing. I forget which three states though.

While you do have to have a masters there is a way to go from ADN to CNM. Some master's programs offer ADN to MSN route. Shenandoah University in Virgina is one of those schools that offers this option.

There is also an ADN pathway at UCSF. You complete your bachelors and then move on to your masters work. Here is the info, good luck! http://nurseweb.ucsf.edu/www/ps-ad.htm

Many schools have ADN to CNM completion programs, just as many schools have ADN to MSN programs. It's totally possible.
I personally would recommend the Frontier School of Midwifery. It has an excellent reputation.
