  1. I didn't know where to put this! Is it possible to become a certified nurse midwife with just an associates RN?
  2. Hey, cuteazz, for some reason I can't reply to your PM, definitely get in contact with me when you read this. My msn is [email protected], or you can e-mail me there as well. :) I'm planning on moving down there too. I'm not in chicago, but I'm on the way to Springfield from Chicago.
  3. I'm also curious about this school. I really want to apply, but I don't want to get wait-listed. If I'm going on a wait-list, I'll just stay in the area and wait for my community college's LPN program to accept me. It almost seems to good to be true, because of how cheap it is! How many students are accepted to the program each semester? I'm planning on living down there, because I'm about 4 hours away, but all the Chicago schools are a lot more expensive, and 17k a year for an LPN program just seems ridiculous. OH, and how quick did everyone get in?

What you do is assign the number 3.0 for every B you got, and the number 4.0 for every A you got. When you have the list of threes and fours, you add them and then average them. It should come out as a decimal, and from the looks of it it'll be pretty good.
  5. Thanks! I'm really trying to do it without the four year degree. Maybe this is the wrong forum to ask this question, but what about x-ray techs? How would you compare thier job to the jobs of nurses?
  6. I'm curious about becoming an obstetric nurse, and I was wondering if I could meet that goal with a 2 year degree in nursing. Actually, I'm really just curious about what /exactly/ I can do with an associates degree in nursing. I'm actually just starting to look at it, and I'll be starting classes in a few weeks, so any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks! Emily:heartbeat
