Hi, Asking for a friend.
Friend has current a ADN, is working as an RN and also has a BA in Biology.
Question: Are there bridge programs (preferably online) for working ADN RNs with non nursing bachelors that will take credits from that non nursing bachelors and apply them to the requirements for the BSN or MSN? Example: Biochem and Organic Chem series, Calculus, Physics, general ed... etc.
Thanks!

Depending on how old the credits are (some schools put a limit at 5 yrs), all schools will accept the credits (if they are from a private or state school).

The courses have to be exactly the same for the credits to be accepted. They cannot be too old, as well.

I had a previous non-nursing BS and MA. They took many of the credits, which meant I didn't have to take any "electives" to have a total of X amount of orders. Where I did my RN-BSN, I was able to take the minimum of 31 credit hours which was a university requirement. I also got credit for an EBP class I had taken at another university. It was 5 credit hour instead of 3. Exact same book. Good thing I am so anal that I kept every single assignment/paper/syllabus.
One school wanted me to take close to 20 hours of fluff classes. Nope.
FYI, when I went back, they took my classes that were within 10 years, but I think that has changed.
