Hey everyone!!

Congratulations to everyone that has gotten into the CSULA Fall 2013 BSN program!! woohoo!

Just wanted to start this thread so that the Fall 2013 class could start getting to know each other and share our processes/gripes/questions/whatever before we start in September.

Or, whoever wants to say hello!

Looking forward to meeting you all in September!!

:nurse::)

lol Lwang13. dont feel stressed out now... otherwise, once we start the program, i'm afraid what it will do to you! I know there is a lot to do, but we still have 4 months to get them done. Many people have told me that this is the last summer to have fun for a long time so i'm gonna take advantage and so should you!

Yah, u r right, ,peachdove, it is the best and only time we could release ourselves before getting out of nursing, so we should enjoy our summer.

ah so i took a cpr class but it isnt american heart association certified :[ what a bummer haha. so csula has a health center for those of u transferring and offers many services to students for free or at a low fee. :]

Thank you, mkaur, i just found it that cal st la has it, but I took it already(paid high, eh.....).I just wanna let it get out of my way ASAP. Anyway, I will take it in cal st la when I renew it in two years.

Hi, guys, I read the student handbook, it says we need to buy our personal health insurance. Where can I buy it, as cheap as possible? Since i don't think I have medication problems. Do you have any suggestions for the insurance? Thanks!

Good question.... I have the same problem

same. i dont have any health insurance either! this nursing program is going to be expensive! csula does offer it for its students and i think my roomate says its about a thousand a year. u can look into that. i believe it is through the ASI

Hello Everyone!

I'm so glad that I found this thread! I'm so excited and nervous to begin the generic BSN program this Fall 2013. I see that I'm not the only one that is wondering about the personal health insurance that is required. I've been obtaining online quotes from several health insurance providers and the quotes I've received seem pricey for a very basic medical plan (the lowest I've encoutered is $160 per month). If anyone comes across health insurance that is much more cost effective, I would appreciate any feeback.

Can't wait to meet you all! :)

Just came upon this website and it seems pretty helpful in helping you find affordable health insurance. Haven't made any calls yet to get more information, but I'm planning on doing that when I have time!

And yes, if anyone finds a good, affordable health insurance plan, please share! :)

Hey guys,

Congratulations on being accepted!!!! I have a few questions that are a little off topic but since you guys are posting here and are accepted I thought it would be appropriate, I'm planning on applying for the Csula BSN generic program next semester for fall 2014... For the ones that weren't already csula students, was there are extra things you had to do? Besides the supp app, csu app, teas.. Did you have to talk to a counselor about applying and putting prenursing as your major? Did you guys have any B's for your science prereqs??? You guys can message me your replies!!! Thank you and congratulations again

Thank u fortheh link @ytseng, it is just the one I found, too. I think the insurance we could purchase should from the PPO plan, instead HMO. It depends on age, most time.

Hi, guys, is anybody know when to register for the orientation in July?
