@ytseng4 - I believe that Lwang13 is referring to the transfer student orientation. I received an email today from CSULA for the same orientation. Also, I spoke with the Nursing Advisor earlier in the week, and she mentioned that she will be mailing our welcome packages within the next couple of weeks. She is currently busy with the upcoming finals week, etc., and has not had time to put the packages together.

Hi righteousjenn, I tried to private message you; however, I am not privy to that function since I don't have enough topics. Anyhow, in response to your questions, I was not a CSULA student when I applied to the Generic BSN Program. Prior to submitting my applications, I did schedule to meet with Monica Ling, Nursing Advisor, to make sure that I met all the requirements and had all the proper documentation that was required. I was fortunate to get all A's in my science pre-reqs; however, even if you have B's you should still go for it. Best of luck to you! :)

Hello Lwang13, Per the CSULA website, new students will be notified about the orientation in June. In addition, the orientation invite will only be sent to admitted students who paid the ECD by the stated deadline. The deadline to submit payment for the ECD is June 3rd.

Hello Everyone! I'm so glad that I found this thread! I'm so excited and nervous to begin the generic BSN program this Fall 2013. I see that I'm not the only one that is wondering about the personal health insurance that is required. I've been obtaining online quotes from several health insurance providers and the quotes I've received seem pricey for a very basic medical plan (the lowest I've encoutered is $160 per month). If anyone comes across health insurance that is much more cost effective, I would appreciate any feeback. Can't wait to meet you all! :)
