This was my essay lol - Never Give Up
Two years ago I had been working two jobs, going to school, and juggling everything else life can challenged you with. I came home one day after work it had been late June and all my friends were graduating college. I still was undecided what I wanted to pursue as a career. I knew at this point I always had the passion for helping others but could not put my finger on where I should go. My brother had already graduated nursing school and was a certified nursing assistant before becoming a registered nurse. I figured that I would go to the Red Cross and sign up for a certified nurse's assistant program. After signing up and successfully completing the program, I felt very confident in working in healthcare. The program gave me a great insight what it is to make a difference in other people's lives and to have passion for what you love to do. I had a job offer at Yale New Haven Hospital as a Patient Care Associate on one of the largest surgical floors in the hospital. While working with such acute patients it has made me realize how much passion, I have for helping others. I have learned so much working at the hospital it made me realize anything is possible. My dream is to become a nurse and make a positive impact in other individual's lives. After all the hard work, I put into my academics and job it showed me I can't picture myself doing anything else. I love helping others and I am so proud of how much I have accomplished.
