Admission to BHSON 2014

Hi,

I recently submitted my application to Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for this fall. Who is with me? I'm so excited yet nervous. I hope I get in. Anyone got and acceptance letter ye?

Aww thanks! I wish I had enough time to tell you what I went through last year and how hard it was to get to this point. Long story short I was accepted to St. Vincent's and after i put my deposit in and paid all of these other fees they told us all we weren't guaranteed a spot even after we spend $20k to retake anatomy 1&2 and chemistry and maybe a math. It was devastating plus I was wait listed at the community college #46 and I watched people who didn't do as well as me get in before me because of the lottery. My heart was broke.

Aww thanks. That means a lot. I try to be honest with everyone in all of the processes because I don't want anyone to have to go through what I went through. Even if it sounds harsh

I applied to Bridgeport like 2 yrs ago and i didn't get in but i had none of the classes done like i do now. I just hope i want this so bad. My essay and references are amazing i will say so we will see.

People are like oh you work at yale you will get in but it doesn't mean everything yeah it helps but its not in my hands to decide .

The community college nursing program is a joke your gonna let someone who got a C+ in anatomy get in over someone who has As and Bs. Smh

That's exactly how I felt about it too. But at the end of the day Bridgeport is a much better program. Everyone I talk to who went through the program loved it. They felt so prepared. You'll get in. Have faith. I know it's hard not to at time but it's only April. There is still a ton of time. ?

I feel like a lot of denial letters went out this week for nursing programs. I know the community college sent out ineligible letters this week

Yes they did. The good news is my friend was wait listed at Bridgeport and by June she was accepted along with the rest of the wait list. Don't forget some people go to another school and some have circumstances which cause them to not be able to accept their spot
