ACNP.. non-certified but wanting to be!

Yes yes. I'm very aware that I had a chance to become certified as an Acute Care NP; however I am the breadwinner of my family and due to financial constraints, never felt I had the funds to take the exam, or a review course, and here I am trying to figure out what I am to do to become certified.

I am taking the ANCC ACNP exam tomorrow; however, still feel unprepared and am not sure I even prepared by studying the appropriate stuff (I had been given notes fr Barkley Review 2011). Again, I am aware the certification is retiring. My question is.... I don't pass tomorrow, then what?

I don't think you can sign up to take it again if you don't pass today -- I thought the exam/credential was already "retired." You must be getting in just under the wire.

Fingers crossed and prayers sent!

@elkpark- the certification is expired. This is the last to take the exam. Not trying to be negative, however seeing if anyone knows any info re: whether I need to go back to school or what to be able to apply for a different certification.

My guess is you would have to get a post-master's to be eligible to sit for the current certifications. Fingers crossed that it went well for you!!
