Alot of positions now want ACLS, along with basic life support.

Where can you take this class. I called my employer and never heard back. Does American Red Cross offer it? I really want to know more about it, and how hard it is? I'm hoping they will pay for me to take it.

Sorry....gotta share this: I just clicked on Ted's site and listened to the song "Bed Pan Blues" and I was dancing and popping my fingers and laughing and pretending I was playing the guitar as I danced around. :chuckle :roll :chuckle Thanks to Ted for sharing his site. I love it Ted! :chuckle

If an employer REQUIRES ACLS, then they PAY for their employees to get it. Agree w/the ones who direct you to check with the employee education dept/nurse. This person can tell you how to get started. Do not pay for them if you do not have to.....VERY EXPENSIVE......I secured a job that required ACLS by promising I would attend the first available class at the hospital. It worked fine for me.
