ACLS and BLS taken in USA - are they accepted in Canada??

Published

Hello,

I just passed my CRNE this June 1, 2011. I am currently looking for work right now. I just want to ask if my BLS AND ACLS certifications in USA accepted in Canada? Do I have to take it again here in Canada? Thank you.

Only your employer can answer that. Some places accept St John's Ambulance, some places accept AHA and some insist on Canada Heart and Stroke. I don't suggest redoing the courses unless a prospective employer tells you to, as long as you're not expired of course.

Both are not expired :p But I will ask the employers what they prefer. Thank you.

Well, since you're actually going to Québec and they have basically ALL of their own rules, you'd do best to consult your future employer about the transferability of that.
