Access Nurses travel company

Published

Anyone work for Access Nurses travel company? If so, would be interested in your experience with them. Thanks!! I've been working with one of the top 10 by Hypodermic Highway's ratings and it's been a good company but they don't seem to have very many contracts in cities/areas where I would think there should be...and have known other travelers who've gone to those places.

You need to find out which companies staff the area you are interested in traveling to. Try calling the hospitals' staffing offices and ask them if they will share with you which companies they use, then go from there. No one agency staffs everywhere in the country. I think Access works mainly in CA and the southwest. I worked in CA with them.

I had a good experience with Access. There were a few glitches here and there, like getting physicals and stuff, but these things can happen anytime with any company. I had good pay, good housing, and great insurance bennies. Were I to travel again I would go with them.

My very first travel assignment was with Access. I loved my recruiter at the time. The only problem I had with them was I had 2 different recruiters in a years time. Other than that, I had no issues with them

I've signed my first contract ever and it with Access. Everything has been wonderful, although I have nothing to compare it with.

access is horrible. my first 2 assignments were "ok" i stayed with them because i have a "loyalty gene". i really could kick myself in the butt right now. i have had to go since january with no health benefits. my 'used car salesman' of a recruiter.. coerced me into taking .50 cents more an hour and not take health benefits.. that i could pick them up on my second assignment if i wanted to. wrong. i would have to wait til december for open registration to get them if i want them. to "compensate me" they were reimbursing me with $1 an hour increase. i got to the assignment i am currently on, and found another traveller.. working for access. she is making $2 more and hour with benefits.. talk about not being fair or considering the nurse first. even with her added benfits.. she has had her share of snafus with the company and is switching companies at the end of her assigment as well..

do not recommend. run away!! far far away!!!

I agree with Snapple. I am really disgusted with Access and I haven't even started. They lied to me about not providing health insurance or certain housing amenities. I am going to try to get out of my contract. They told me they don't have health insurance and put in my contract that I didn't want it. Even if I do this assignment I'll never go with them again.
