Hi All! I am currently an lvn looking for a bridge program. Can you give me more information on the program? I would like to start soon. How many classes per term? And how long is the program? I'm in Tx as well.

This program is not a bridge program. In the first term the amount of classes vary based on the classes you have previously taken. For instance, if you have taken statistics before it's possible you won't have to take it with WGU. For me I took 8 classes the first term (working on my last class now). For the next 4 term there are 6 classes, clinicals and labs. The program takes 2.5 years.
There is a wealth of DETAILED information on their website. It really is good, very informative information.. even a program guide that tell you all the classes you would be taking each term.
Here is the link to the program guide.

If you have more specific question.. I'll be happy to answer them for you

I have scored an 82 % on the TEAS. Do you think this is competitive enough? My nursing science GPA for WGU shows to be over 3.83.

They heavily weigh the TEAS composite score (overall) and TEAS reading score. Although the science GPA is also important, they look at the TEAS score more. That being said, they do look at your whole application, it's not based on one score alone. To answer your question on whether an 82 TEAS is enough, It really depends on what state program you're applying for, some states such as California are much more competitive than other states, for example Texas.
Thank you for your response. I am applying for the Dallas Texas June Cohort and I hope to get in. I complete my first bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University this May. I've been in the pharmaceutical field for over ten years. I've even taken a class for CNA and that really gave an idea of what the nursing field is like.
I don't know what the average TEAS score is for Dallas, but considering Texas cohorts are starting on almost a monthly basis, I know the competition to get in is much lower.
Thanks for your response. I didn't know that so many cohorts were starting. Someone in the Facebook group said their advisor told them the next group starts in November. But my advisor told me the next group starts in May then another in June. I hope my advisor informed me correctly. Really want to get in in June. To have to wait until November just for an acceptance is a long wait.

The frequency of cohort starts depends entirely on where in the great state of Texas you are. There ARE cohorts staring all the time, but some areas have more frequent ones, and some areas have less frequent ones. All about geography!
Thanks for your response. I'm in the Dallas area. Right near the DFW airport.
Here in Texas they are starting cohorts monthly but they probably have selected the students for several months ahead.
Usually cohort selection is no more than six weeks before a start date.
