Hello everyone!
I'm new posting on this site but I have been around reading other peoples comments.
I wanted to start a thread for students that have been accepted to the Simmons nursing program entering fall 2012 as well as students that have attended and graduated from this program.
Please leave any comments, I am eager to read what everyone has to say.
Here is a bit about my self:
This will be my first degree, I attend Roxbury Community College and will receive my AS in Health Science by the end of the summer (while working full-time). It sure has not been an easy task. I had my back up plan, with the competitiveness of nursing programs I never imagined that I would get accepted to any school in Boston. Needless to say, my excitement has not been easy to contain and I smile to myself every time I think about what awaits for me in the near future.
I was also accepted to Simmons Dix program. I applied to the 18 month but it seems as though I was accepted to the 2-year track even though I have completed all pre-requisites and have not re-taken any. I'm currently trying to decide between Simmons and Regis' BSN/MSN direct entry program and I am waiting to hear back to MGHIHP. Is anyone else deciding between these schools?

If I get accepted, those are my two choice schools. I think I would go with Regis just because of location and the MSN portion. When did you get your acceptance letter?!
I was accepted to Simmons the first week of February (I think?). I interviewed at Regis 2/17 and received an acceptance letter on 3/1...
I agree the guaranteed MSN is tempting, but I feel as though Simmons is a better program and may have better clincial placements in Boston? I will also be commuting from teh Northshore, so the location is also a draw for me since I also currently work at Childrens...
Ahh! So torn!

I'm also torn. I sent in my deposit into Simmons last Wednesday and received my acceptance letter from UMass Boston on Thursday. I know that UMass is more affordable but I like the support system and location convenience that Simmons has.
