Accepted at North Georgia! Now what?

Published

I am so excited, I just got my letter today from NGCSU! I was completely shocked to get it today- I had been told letters wouldn't go out until April 1 or later. I have to accept or decline the spot by Feb 27. I also applied to Athens Tech and they are not making decisions until April. Obviously, I don't want to give up my spot at NG, not knowing if I will get in ATC. I thought I preferred ATC because it is cheaper. I have a BA already and I know if I qualify for any financial aid it will only be loans. I have been paying out of pocket for my prereqs and we could probably keep doing that at ATC, but probably not at NG. Also, the gainesville campus for NG is 18 miles for me, while the ATC is 44 miles. I have a lot of thinking to do-- does anyone have any advice??

I have enjoyed reading all the msgs in the post, as I hope to attend the ASN program at NGCSU in the Fall of 2012.

Zookeeper44, I am a 34 yr old mother to 5 children. I have never attended college, but I start in the spring. I'll be working on my core classes. Since I've never attended college i have no idea how many classes to start with. So I'm going to start slow, and hope I can finish all my core's in 2 yrs (maybe with the exception of Foreign Language). I'm going to start with English, and Math. Then take 1 or 2 classes in the summer.

Congrats to all of you that were accepted at North GA, I hope to announce that one day!

Wow, I can't believe I came across this post I commented on back in 2009!

Anyway, I can come back and announce I've been accepted to NGCSU for the fall semester! :)
