Accepted in LPN at OCC this winter

U.S.A. Michigan

It has been such a long time since I last posted

Last time I posted that I got denied from RN OCC with my 3.6xx; however, I just got a letter yesterday from OCC again that I am accepted for the LPN. I applied with my 3.69x (prereqs are less than RN.)

I think I will do LPN first and then bridge to RN later because LPN starts Jan 2011. RN starts Sept 2011 which I am not sure I will get accepted or not. So it's better to grab something to begin with.

Yay! I finally did it! :)

It is actually from American heart BLS.

I got it after I trained yesterday.

I got a private training from the same guy that does for my friends school.

I'll pm you his number. He probably charge you a little bit more than me. But sill cheaper than the one from school or else where.

His place is kinda nasty but as for the price. I don't care. :)

I think i'm going to try to apply to the LPN program in September ... does anyone know what the cut off on the GPA was for this past 2010??

It was 3.6xx. They didn't tell us the exact number. But you might be able to find out from the counselor when you fill out the application.

Yes do it. And good luck.

Anyone else in our winter LPN class? I cannot wait until they post our groups. We are starting Fundamentals on March 7 and still dont know what time our Labs will be on Th/Fri. Wonder what is taking so long? I want group B soooooo Bad!

Today was our last day of Pharm. I stayed to find out my grade and I got an A, couldnt be happier. What Im really thrilled about is my lab time. We found out today and I got afternoons!

One thing I was dissapointed about, there was a girl in our class that is a CNA and she didnt show up last week or for the final. Im bummed out, I was just getting to know her and thought she would be good to study with. I wish I knew what happened to make her drop out.
