Acceptance letters from N Georgia (UNG) Fall 2013

Published

Has anyone heard when acceptance letters will be mailed out??

If you hear anything, please let everyone know!!

Well that's a little disappointing. I thought I would be receiving something this week.

My OCD self prodded me to drive up to Dahlonega and ask. The 4th floor looks busy and she said that the letters, most likely, won't be sent out this week.

That's even more disappointing.......

Ughhhh... Yeah that's not what I wanted to hear.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. At least we know how it is. :)

Absolutely! Better to know something than nothing at all!

So, how do they determine who's on the waiting list when the semester ends? Are people moved up who got higher gpa's? Are people taken off or lowered who do poorly this semester? I've been wondering about this.

I don't think so since the application period ended in Dec. 15 and all fall grades (including the TEAS V scores) needed to be available by Jan. 8-something. Spring semester grades don't count, if they haven't changed the rules.

Yes I agree. I think the ppl originally accepted and the wait listed ppl are all from the grades ending in the fall. I think the only way you are moved up on the waiting list is when someone declines their spot. But you won't know that until the third or fourth round.

Yeah, I don't think the department can afford to be that dynamic. They are busy enough for not having been able to meet the May 15 deadline.

Are they moving the department around on that floor or just getting paperwork together for the consolidation?

From my conversation with an advisor during pre-nursing advisement, they have been busy with everything that has anything to do with consolidation. While I was up there yesterday, I've noticed a couple of offices that had 2 instructors' names on the door. Again, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt why the department missed the May 15 deadline. :)

Well I hope they get somewhere this week so we can get some letters next week! Lol
