  1. I am hoping to be a nursing student very soon, as in this year. However, I think I may have hit a snag. I had my titers done, and I am not immune to the mumps. Due to medical reasons, I cannot have the MMR vaccine. Also, I can not have the live flu vaccine every year. I am waiting to hear from a school now on whether the facilities that I would do clinicals will take me without being vaccinated. What if you have documentation from a doctor explaining that you cannot have the MMR or live flu vaccine due to medical reason? Will they still deny you?

Were you allowed in the nursing program?
  3. Congratulations on being accepted to another school! Still great!! What school will you be taking your nursing classes at? You should still be happy!
  4. Thank you for the kind words Elanessea! Congratulations again!!! I'm sure you'll be great!
  5. Ashbrook1091, I am in the same boat as you. Still waiting. I was hoping another batch of letters would go out in the end of July. They told you they are almost full?? So are they calling people now before they send acceptance letters out? I was told I was in the top list also. (middle of the top.)
  6. So you just got your acceptance letter yesterday?? I was guessing they wouldn't send anymore out till the end of July, after the second round of acceptance letter had turned in their paperwork? And Congratulations!!
  7. Congratulations!!! Best of luck!!!
  8. Thank you for the support tumbleweeds10 and kmp5! I can't believe you get more points for being male!! It is frustrating. I wish they had a more open system, so everyone could find out what is going on. The secrecy is so frustrating. This is all of our lives, I wish we knew exactly where we stand on the list. I did email them Friday, and they wrote back saying I am in the top portion. I already knew that. I was hoping to find out how many spots I moved up, and how many people are ahead of me. My stats are great, but I am not a student there already, or a male! Nothing you can do about that! I am going to keep waiting, but also make sure I have a plan B that will make me just as happy!! I am not doing this again. Did you all apply anywhere else, or have another career you might like?
  9. I am sorry. There is still time!!! Are you on the top list also? You get extra points for waiting I believe.
  10. I was in the top list, middle. I wonder if not many letters went out? I really thought I would be getting one. It's discouraging.
  11. Is this your first year applying? It is for me.
  12. Well, nothing for me again today. Guess I am not in this batch. Good luck to everyone else!
  13. Of course my mail is late today!! Mail came and nothing for me today....................
  14. kmp5, Thank you SO much for letting us know! I am not leaving the house till my mail comes! Mine comes around noon, so fingers crossed (for us all)! Yes, it has been a long wait.
  15. I really hope so! I don't know how I will keep myself occupied till Saturday! I will be watching for the mailman tomorrow. I think I remember getting my wait list letter the day after they were mailed?
