Not sure if I should have posted this under "pandemics" but this is a general question. What vaccines are nurses required to have? Do you have to take the H1N1? What if you don't want to? I am against alot of these vaccines as I don't feel they are necessary safe. I also feel that patients are overmedicated but that's a whole other topic. I'm not a nurse but if I were forced to take the H1N1 or whatever new shot they come up with, I'd have to reconsider this field altogether.

OMG, I thought I was the only person with this crazy idea! I'm 38, I feel my clock ticking and if I'm gonna have another baby, it will have to be soon. I haven't even applied to a nursing program but it will likely be an accelerated program so I'm trying to get all pre-reqs out of the way. The way I see it, if I happen to get pregnant, well then, baby comes first. Nursing school will always be there. In the perfect world, I'd love to finish school first and then baby afterwards. To anybody who is in this predicament, I wish you all the best of luck! It's tough being a woman sometimes but have faith and you will through.
