This is a good thread cause I am looking for the same thing there is another program i just heard of called MID Manhattan here is a link to the site http://adultednyc.org/ but if any1 else hears of any where it would be great help...hey KWARMAH where in the bronx are you located??? also i am really anxious to just start school so i kno the monroe program is one of the only programs that start in january (all the retst is sept) so should i go to monroe (its expensive) or just wait for another school in next fall???

I tried to get into that program years ago (at least 12 years ago). If I am correct, they want you to sit for the NLN exam, which consists of reading, math and science. I failed it and didn't get in. Their program is very reasonably priced, but, also very competitive. You will see MANY people coming there, but the seats are limited. I am not saying that you shouldn't try, though. I would definitely sit for their remediation classes for review in order to take their exams. Again, I am not sure if they still run the same way. Good luck!

Thanks! I thought it was cute when I saw it!

I actually took the exam for that program...along with a HS cafeteria full of people. I passed and received a letter telling me that I had to sit for another exam, but by then I made the decision to attend my current school. It is competetive and I heard that many people end up dropping/failing, which I guess would happen at any other nursing program. And yes, they do have classes that you can take before taking their exams. It is supposed to be tuition free, and you only pay for uniforms, books, CPR course, etc. Definitely a program worth trying to get into.
