Accelerated BSN MCPHS- Worcester Spring 2015

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Just wondering if anyone out there is applying to the accelerated bachelor in nursing program at MCPHS Worcester for spring 2015. I was just on campus for an information session and will be sending out my application this week.

Are there any current students out there that can explain what the program is like? Class schedule, clinicals, etc. Would you recommend this program?

Did you pay housing deposit yet? Its $250. and then they you send you a form to fill out. You should have received it last week. Yesterday they sent out incoming student website and more information about class schedule and scrubs fitting and stuff

I haven't paid the deposit yet. I had been waiting for more information on the school in order to be comfortable in deciding to go there, which I have. I'll get around to paying in the coming days, if not tomorrow.

So scrub fitting, you say? That sounds exciting.

Yes we have to go on November 19th for scrub fitting. Then you have to order white coat by November 28th. The orientation is on 01/09/15

I have also applied for the spring 2015 start date. I am getting nervous that I have not heard anything yet. When I went online to check if my application was complete, it just said submitted. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Hey sd123,

That means they are probably reviewing your application. When did you apply?

I got in! :) I can't wait to see you all.

Congrats... What were your stats if you don't mind me asking?

@ainyang6087 - I did horrible during my first bachelor degree (3.0 with a D in Theater that messed up my gpa). Surprised I got in. I did so much better after I graduated though. So that might have helped me out. I am still finishing up with my Human Growth and Development. But I got A's and B+ on the all the prereqs.

Yea I didn't do too great in my undergrad having to take org chem 1&2... I didn't get accepted for spring2015.. Just receivedy letter... I'm Prob gonna work on taking some classes towards BA IN psychology, then apply to programs again if i don't get in this year. Still got 8 other schools to hear back from

Hey ejf28,

Congratulation!! :) I will see you guys in 2 months. I can't believe only 2 months left lol. Are you staying on campus?

Futurenapn -- I'd liike the idea but i think it will be more loan to take. So, I might just commute. Did you receive any financial aid?

ejf28,

I received like $1500 scholarship from school and they offered me some other loans. So I will end up taking those. How about you?
