Has anyone been part of the accelerated BSN at Ft kent? I can't seem to find another living soul that has been there. I was accepted into the program an am considering moving up there from Texas for an adventure, but I want to talk to an unbiased person about the program.

BEAUTIFUL area!!! You would have to like peace and calm surroundings to live there. Beautiful campus and dorms. I say go for it!!! I would.
Just to anyone else looking into ft kent, I ended up going to a local 1yr accelerated BSN because ft Kent's out of state tuition was around $45,000 not counting any books, living expenses or moving costs. Looks like a great opportunity for instate students but it is unreasonable for out of state. I went ahead and did the first online class over the summer and found the class to be very easy and the professors to be quite concerned, helpful and caring.
Other than that I wish you the best of luck.

Great program and highly reputable within the state of Maine. High NCLEX pass rates. Instructors are friendly, encouraging, and professional. The townspeople are incredibly friendly and are supportive of the University. It is a beautiful location with lots of outdoor/recreation activities to do. If you need to live near a city you may be disappointed. But, you'll be so busy with classes and clinicals that the time will fly by. Good luck!

Hi Lola Lou,
I was just accepted to UMFK Accelerated program! Did you finish the program? If so can you tell me about the area and the program?

Were you able to get your ABSN from UMFK? How did it go? I am curious if you took your NCLEX in Maine or went back to your state?
