accelerated BSN-azusa-EENAP @ san diego-Summer 2009

U.S.A. California

Hi,

I got accepted into EENAP program at azusa-san diego campus for summer 2009 semester. Does anyone has an idea of how the program is, and what are the hospitals where they have the clinics? I am relocating to san diego and I don't have any idea of what would be a good place to rent a apartment. I am not a big fan of traffic and driving, so I am looking for anything which will be commute wise the best choice. How I wish, I could live in walking distance of everything:mad:.........I know, it is a impossible dream.

Please guys, if you know just know about anything, do let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!!:nurse:

Oh wow, congrats!!!

Hi Teresa111,

Congratulations!!! How long have you been waiting for the response? I applied in the beginning of Jan., haven't received anything, even that my app is completed (and it was). However, I received a phone call/voice mail that I have been accepted to the University. Did you receive a phone call as well? I am so nervous!!!

thanks,

living_dreams,

congrats! Which term did you apply for? IF it's San Diego eenap for Jan. 2010, we may just be in the same class.

I did not receive a phone call, I actually called them and found out I was accepted. Who called you? I'm so glad I kept trying to call. But I was told they would mail me a letter.

Theresa

Hi Teresa111,

I called them back and found out that the decision has not be made yet...eventhough the man named BJ called earlier and left the message that I was admitted. Mess!! Well, I had to send them one more paper, so now the application is completed and I'm waiting...I applied for Fall 2010, because I have a lot of pre-req to do, so we won't be in the same class :( I'm in Mesa College right now. Congrats once again!

Do you plan to apply for Kaiser scholarship? I wonder how difficult is to get it...

thanks,

I am, and I hope I get it. I don't know how hard it is to get. I hope they will still offer them once I start. I was told they come on campus and do in-person interviews and that is part of their decision.

I hope you get in for Fall then. Well, keep in touch, maybe I can show you around, sell you my books, or just be a source of support for you for when you start.

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone who applied to Azusa's EENAP Program could tell me what their GPA, prerequisite grades, and anything else you put on their application were? I'm extremely interested in this program and will be applying soon. I was just curious to see what my competition is and what kind of "typical" student profile they are looking for. Even if you've been rejected or just applied to this program I'm interested to know what your stats were Copy%20of%20wink.gif. Also, did you have any prerequisites in progress when you applied? If so, how many?

Thank you all in advance for any help you can provide me with! :nurse:

I've been accepted for Jan 2010 too! We will all probably be in the same cohort. Have you been to visit the school yet?

My GPA was lower than a 3.0 for my undergrad degree so I had to petition based on my post-bac GPA of 4.0. This included the majority of my prereq classes. When I applied I had two classes in progress: microbio and gen psy. I would suggest working on your essay and be clear on your future goals.

Congrats! We will probably be in the same cohort, you're right. That's great! Have you taken the biochem/ochem requirement? I have yet to take it. I'm hoping to take the cuyamaca course chem 102. What did you take? I am looking forward to finally starting nursing school, can you believe it is less than a year away?

Hi! I am very excited and anxious to begin the program :yeah: It will be here sooner than we think! I took Chem in my undergrad at UCSB. Although, I am currently retaking Chem 104 at Mira Costa College b\c I also applied to CSU Long Beach. They require the course to be within the last 5 years. Where are you located? If you are near North County, one of the professors is thorough and quite entertaining. What other courses are you taking?

Kristi

I was thinking of taking the 104 class at Mira Costa, because I think it doesn't have a prerequisite requirement. Or does it? I live about 30 min south but if I don't get into the Cuyamaca class I may have to consider the drive. Right now I am taking apII and micro. I know, I am super excited about starting nursing school too. Will you be applying for scholarships or grants? I need all I can get.

So is biochem/ochem 104 at Mira Costa a hard class?

ksbash-

Thanks so much for the reply! You give me hope for the future! I'm hoping to get into the January 2010 cohort in San Diego.... I'm in pretty much the same boat as you sounds like with you GPA, etc... What kind of petition did you have to do? Could you tell me more about that?

Thank you and good luck to you!

Hi everyone,

I just found out today that I've been admitted into the EENAP program for the term I applied for, Spring 2010. I'm so relieved! Goodluck to all of you!!!

Theresa

congrats! if you dont mind me asking, who did you use as your personal recommendation? I have my other two recommendations, just not sure who I should pick my third. Also, how did you write your letter to the dean? what did you focus on? Thanks so much.
