About to start first job as RN-L&D

Hi Peeps -

Well the time is getting close to starting my new job. Been for a look around the unit met some of the team all looks good- just got to get my feet wet now. Fingers crossed that things will go well.

I worked last week and LOVED it!! I think you will too. I'm working this Sunday night, so maybe I'll finally get to meet you!! Stopped by today and met another new RN, everybody's been really nice so far and there are some great nurses working there.

I used to live in Gilbert, AZ right off Gilbert Rd. But it was some years ago.

Thanks for the vote of conifedence and support- I am going open minded I know things are different here and that I am NOT a midwife in US but hopefully my skills that I learnt will help me in my new role. I am looking to start some time next week.

Thanks to be honest I had an indepth interview and tour of the unit and everyone I met made an effort to say that I would be very welcome. The manager told everyone and I mean everyone that I was a very experienced UK midwife how excieted she was to have me working with them which took me a bit by surprise as I was may not going to say anything- now I have loads to live up too LOL.

Can not wait to met and work with you as you have started befor me you can show me the ropes.

My First shift is on Wed I am very nervous- I hope I can live up to expectations. I have met with the unit educator who could not have been nicer also my mentor seems really nice. Fingers crossed that things go well and I fit in OK.
