I took my RN NCLEX 10 times already and not able to pass it as of yet. Help, Help and Help.
hmm. okayyy. Im in the low 50%s, but I am also doing what you did (writing down rationales in my own words on certain things I didn't know). I'm hoping my %'s are adequate enough for passing NCLEX.
@Anon10: I didn't finish the whole uworld q's (i still have roughly around 700 left) but my over all is around 57-60%. I focused on questions and rationales, especially the topics that i didn't know instead of the percentage.
I just found today that I did not pass again. This is my 13th time and I used Uworld.
On uworld did you just go through the questions without reading the rationales and why you got it wrong? I know when I read the rationales I retain some of the info better. 13 times? You're scaring me for my nclex which is in 2wks.
sorry to hear that. Whatever you do, do not give up. Ask God for help and he will always be there to help you as long as you have faith in Him. Do not doubt God.Your success does not come from how many hours you spend studying, It honestly comes from God. So put your complete trust in Him.
I am sorry, but success in health care is absolutely a result of the time and energy you spend engaging in the learning process. If there was a god, they gave us free will and critical thinking. I would imagine god would expect you to use the skills given to you. It's like the old joke about the guy on the roof, in a flood- he keeps declining offers of help because he trusts god to save him. And god is all, what the heck dude, I sent a boat.
Your success or failure in nursing will be determined by your ability to master the content and skills necessary to get your license and practice safely.
I am an atheist, but I don't think that is relevant here. I don't think it is appropriate to shift responsibility for your competence off of your own shoulder and onto your god's.
OP, if I were you I would step back from this whole mess for a little while, and re-evaluate. If you are committed to pursuing this, then I would recommend a refresher course at a high quality university, and I would splurge on 1:1 tutoring. Gotta be cheaper than taking the NCLEX a dozen more times!

by now hopefully you have passed, wannabe! I really hope no one else gets scared off by this story of 13 or 14 fails, it obviously just increases anxiety in those who are preparing to test. Advice to those who are getting ready to take the exam is to prepare well and disregard stories like this one, focus on what YOU KNOW and kill that NCLEX! :)
Hello i am going to take the nclex for the second time and I am going to use uworld for the second time, lacharity prioritization book and Mark Klimeks lectures. Can you tell me how long you studied for and how your study plan for each day. I am really determined to pass the nclex this second time around. Failing is not an option.

i failed 4x and finally passed my 5th time. Graduated 2010 and I passed last december 2016.
I have few set backs here and there (I need to go back to school because the brn requires it. It took me 1 year to find a school and 2 years to complete it.) but I still have faith and hope that I can do it.
I did Uworld(75 Q's each day), 35 pages notes (I found it here in allnurses) and mark k.
I did take my time reviewing but making sure i take breaks in between. I also did take notes while reading rationales in uworld.
