Hello,
I had recently appeared on the NCLEX-RN exam which was held on 3rd of October and i´m waiting for the result. I am too nervous about what will happen .Though i had prepared hard for the exam for long, I feel, I could not do what I was thinking of. Like after any exams, i am tense and now eagerly waiting for the results. I wrote the exams in Delhi center. As usual and with previous instructions, i was expecting a 6 hrs of test with 260 questions. The test went fairly well but the test was completed just after i attempted 75 questions. I am now worried what will happen if the test is over in the middle. I am sure i have done fairly well in most of the test questions related to pharmacology and other aspects but not so well in those about infection control and not sure about the general nursing and behavioural science. I still cannot remember whether i answered the last question correctly or not.
Can any one suggest me and share their experience\ s whether the length of the test affects the test results?

I moved this thread to the NCLEX Forum where you will see many more that have the same feelings as you did.
The number of questions that one receives is based on how you have answered the previous questions. And the number holds no bearing on the final results of the exam. Same way that getting the last question correct or not correct influences the results.
Best of luck to you on your results.

good luck guys,,,i heard that when you are expected to take your exam, it has already been prepared for you of the length that you are going to have. Like, if they wanted your exam to be 265 questions, then they set it at that

Good luck to you! I, like you am waiting for results. We just have to keep thinking good thoughts and keep busy while we wait.
Sorry, but that is definitely not correct. It is CAT exam and will start off with an easier question, if you get it correct, then the questions will get progressively harder. If you miss, then it goes back to an easier question.
The exam has no idea of how many questions that you will get until you are actually writing the exam.
How could it know if you have not tested? The questions are given to each person based on how the previous questions are answered.
