Abington Dixon School of Nursing Fall 2015 entry applicants?

Published

Just wondering if anyone has applied for Fall 2015 entry into evening/weekend at Abington Memorial Dixon School of Nursing? I have applied and the waiting game begins! I wan't this so bad!

Hi! I received my (provisional) acceptance letter today! (Finishing up Microbiology now.) Such a relief; I was so nervous after sending in my application materials right at the wire! I'll be joining the Evening/Weekend program; can't wait to meet everyone.

CONGRATZ! I'm hoping to get mines soon!

Still waiting for my letter. I've been freaking out for the past two weeks ( some friends already received their letter). Hopefully Monday (?) because I've been a mailbox stalker and I haven't gotten anything today :(

Yes! Two of my friends recievied their letters. One got in the other did not. I'm sooooo worried!!

Hi, so it sounds like they will send us a letter even if we didn't get in? Well that's not the kind of letter I'm hoping too receive but at least I know that I'll receive some sort of answer.

Mother dearest called me and said there's a letter from Dixon for me at home. My stomach just turned inside out. I'm so nervous!

So I just received my letter today and I have been placed on the Wait List :/.. But I'm not too sad because I still have my hopes up, hoping somebody decides not to attend that school. But anyways, congrats on all the other girls and boys that got in :). Hope I can get in!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!! :)

Ah man. I was placed on the waitlist also, but I don't give up hope. I still think I was in a really good place. It said its because of my preference in class choice. Is that the same reason for everyone?

Also placed on the Wait List. :( So bummed but trying to stay hopeful something may still happen. Good luck everyone! :)

Also got my letter and I'm on the wait list too for evening. Sad and disappointed but hopefully things will turn around. Question for those on wait lists- will you still pursue Dixon or have a plan B ?

I'm up in the air right now if busting my butt and hearing a no or just taking the summer off ( enjoying my kids, family etc). However in feeling like I'm 32 and need to move it! Lol

NurseJoReed- I totally understand where you are coming from! I feel like I am getting close to 30 and need to start my career sooner than later. I have a family to provide for, and I honestly do not know if I can wait. Dixon is and always will be my first choice, and I am truly sad that I am placed on the waiting list, but I feel as though I need to be proactive and begin looking at other schools. Believe me, I am still praying and hoping for a call from Dixon, but I know that I should at least see what else is out there. I feel like I need a plan B, just in case I need it. I had my heart set on Dixon, and did not allow myself to learn about any other school. Hopefully, we still have a good chance of getting in this year, but I know I will feel better if I have other options.
