AANP exam - did I pass????????

Published

Took the AANP yesterday and boy am I frazzled. When I was done and hit the button the screen asked do you want to take survey. After that test without knowing if I passed. Then screen went white. Finally another screen came up and it was a paragraph. I believe it started with something like congratulation you passed and the rest was a blur, but after talking to someone else who took it they said that is not what theirs said. I asked when I signed out. Prometrics wouldn't/ couldn't tell me.

I thought I passed, I told everyone I did. Now I am not sure. Anyone remember about what the screen said, whether pass or fail. Don't remember seeing the word failed, think I would remember that, and EMS didn't revive me so I am hoping.

any help

Thanks

Hey Nurseguy,

Had the same experience -- was so wasted and jazzed and stunned to have it over that I barely read that crucial paragraph -- only really saw the word "passed," bolded, and basically floated out of the place. Then, as the days went by, began to wonder if I'd mis-read it or misunderstood or... maybe there was a NOT before the passed! I'm sure you got it right (just as I did!), but keep checking the AANP certification website. Under 'Certification History' it may say 'results pending,' but (I believe) if you indeed have passed the test you'll also see a date under 'date certified,' ie the date you took -- and passed -- your test. Good luck...!

I did the same thing. Now, I am waiting on the mail (not so patiently) and it has been three weeks. I know that I saw the word passed on the screen. Does anyone know if the screen says the word fail if you were unsuccessful on the test?

I did ask at Prometrics when I took mine and they said it says FAIL not PASS. so hopefully we are both ok. So hopefullly we are both ok. Three weeks and stlll waiting? That will kill me. It amazes me that with technology we have today that this process can take so long. Did you try to give AANP a call. I have to say I have talked to several individuals there during the application process and they have been very helpful to expedite my application process. I left message and sent email yesterday so I am hoping to get an answer quickly.

Good luck,

Funny, I have been having the same anxiety. I am sure it said "passed" but started second guessing myself. My eyes were so tired and my head a blur by that point.

I did the same thing when I took the test! I failed it the first time and the way it reads is either "not passed" or "passed". You can call AANP and they will tell you for sure.

I'm chuckling inside, because I felt the same way. I actually wrote it on my hand with the marker that prometrics gave me! Check the aanp website under your certification information (sign into it) mine showed up in two days and I took it May of this year. GOOD LUCK!

OMG! I took mine yesterday and I had the same experience! I called AANP this morning and they told me to call either Thursday or Friday and they would be able to tell me if I passed or not. By the time my exam was done, everything seemed like a blur but I know I read the word PASSED in bold letters and underlined.

I hope we'll all pass!

If this happens to you don't sweat it. All that stressing and worrying for nothing. Went online to day and guess what. NOW NP-C. printed a card for my wallet and everything.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and well wishes.
