AACN ACNPC-AG boards

Published

I'm scheduled to take my ACNP-AG boards through the AACN in a few weeks. Has anyone taken it recently? If so, how is the test layed out? Is it all multiple choice? Also, are there specific drug dosing questions? I can't seem to find any information regarding the test. Any suggestions would be great.

I am taking the certification exam with AACN soon and I am super nervous since I didn't pass with ANCC. I missed it by THREE questions!! So needless to say my confidence is lower now. I have been studying the practice questions that were given free with aacn and went to barkleys live review. I am using his book and CD's too. Any advice if the online review with aacn is enough?? Thanks

You just have to get out of your head. You need to go through questions and what you get wrong, you need to go back through and review it thoroughly. Don't psych yourself out. You'll be fine.

Thanks!! I have to get out of my head for sure and not second guess myself!!

Yes! Before you answer the question, go back and look at what it's asking you- some answer choices may be correct statements, BUT what exactly are they asking. They really don't try to trick you and that's where you have to just re-read the question and go with your gut. You can totally do this!!!!

Hello Everyone!

I don't have a CCRN certification. Should I take the ANCC instead? or should I just get a CCRN review book before taking the ACNP-AG? Thanks for any opinions you can provide!

Hello Everyone,

what is a passing score for the acnpc-ag aacn exam?

Bumping this. I'm scheduled to take the exam in a month and am wondering what the passing percentage is. I know it's a dynamic scoring system, but at the same time, it would be nice to know if I'm getting x% correct on the practice exam I should be ok or not.

Thanks, I finish school May 12th and would like to take my exam ASAP. How long after completing school do you have to wait?

Thanks. This is a start. I was hoping to hear from someone and their experience based on practice exams and the like.

Once your transcripts show your degree you can submit them electronically to AACN. They received them the day after I paid my registrar the fees. I got an email saying to be on the lookout for my authorization to test which came the next day from the testing company, AMP. There were testing spots open the same week so if you're one of the rare breed that wants to do it ASAP, that is an option. Hope this helps.
